LEXINGTON, Neb. — The Dawson County Board of Equalization met Feb. 27 and unanimously approved minutes and three tax-correction requests after a brief presentation from the county assessor.
Chairman Dennis Rickertsen called the meeting to order at 8 a.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the County Courthouse. County Clerk Karla Zlatkovsky called the roll and confirmed Commissioners E. Dean Kugler, P.J. Jacobson, Bill Stewart and Everett Hagan were present.
The board approved the minutes of the Feb. 13, 2015 regular meeting on a motion by Commissioner Everett Hagan and a second from Commissioner Bill Stewart; the vote was 5-0.
County Assessor John Moore appeared to discuss rural residential sites and told the board that site values for those properties have not been examined since 1995. The board did not take separate action on assessment methodology at this meeting.
The board then voted 5-0 to approve three tax-correction requests: Tax Correction #3901 for Mary H. Almanza (parcel #240115406); Tax Correction #3902 for Mary H. Almanza (parcel #2402127048); and Tax Correction #3903 for Morris Kline, et al. (parcel #240102800). The motion to approve the tax corrections was made by Commissioner Bill Stewart and seconded by Commissioner P.J. Jacobson.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:11 a.m. County Clerk Karla Zlatkovsky certified that the meeting notice and minutes complied with public-notice and recordkeeping requirements.
