Judge reopens David Wayne Miller estate, reappoints Brian Miller to handle real estate

The Lenawee County Probate & Juvenile Court granted a petition to reopen the estate of David Wayne Miller and reappointed Brian Miller as personal representative to address unfinished real estate matters.

Brian Frye, attorney for Brian Miller, told the court the estate had been administratively closed before work on a house and related issues was finished and that siblings had renounced and supported Miller’s reappointment. The court found the filings and proof of service adequate, recorded no objections, and granted the request to reopen the estate.

The judge appointed Brian Miller as personal representative, noting the court typically allows six months for completion of real estate administration and that the timeframe reflected in the order could be extended if necessary. The court closed the matter for today.
