Laurel School District board approves consent agenda, summer hires and library purchases; certifies election results

At its meeting the Laurel School District board approved routine and action items including the consent agenda, hiring for summer health positions, and library book purchases; it also certified the May trustee and bond election results as reported by the county election administrator.

The chair called for a motion on the consent agenda; Jenny moved to approve the consent agenda, Britney seconded, and the chair called the vote and announced the motion carried. The board then moved to action items: a motion by Donnie to approve hiring the listed temporary summer health staff was seconded by Kayla and carried. A motion by Jenny to approve listed library book purchases for LIS and LHS was seconded by Kayla and carried.

Later in the meeting the board considered certification of the May trustee election and bond election canvass as submitted by the county election administrator. Donnie moved to approve the election results and canvass; Jenny seconded and the board voted to certify the report.
