Hamilton County commissioners on May 27 approved several health- and technology-related resolutions.
Resolution 526-26 authorized the county mayor, on behalf of the Hamilton County Health Department, to sign an amendment extending a contract with the Tennessee Department of Human Services by one year and increasing the contract by up to $92,840 for childcare agency immunization audits. The total contract amount stated in the resolution is $278,520 for the period Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2027.
The commission also approved two grant agreements with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for FY 2026–27: Resolution 526-27 for $21,000 and Resolution 526-28 for $510,000. Both resolutions authorize the county mayor to execute the grant agreements.
The commission passed Resolution 526-31 to accept a State and Local Cyber Security Grant Program award and associated cybersecurity software. The software value was recorded in the resolution as up to $189,200; the numeric grant amount transcribed in the meeting record appears as "77,8426," which is unclear in the transcript and requires administrative clarification. Commissioners approved all of these items by roll call.
Staff did not attach special conditions at the meeting. The actions enable the Health Department and county administration to finalize agreements and proceed with the specified programs and audits.
