The Crawford Co. R-II board considered and approved a slate of routine business items, moving through contract templates, procurement decisions, student-discipline policy, health services and campus safety arrangements.
Administrators described two AIA contract templates (A101 and A201, 2017 editions) that legal counsel and the district’s capital-projects team had edited for owner protections; the board voted to accept the revisions and approve the templates for use.
The board reviewed two audit proposals and approved the lower bid from Schultz Wood (firm name as read in the meeting) as district auditors for fiscal years 2026–2028.
Members then adopted a new athletic and activities progressive-discipline matrix intended to standardize how athletic and activities incidents are handled across middle and high school programs. The administration said the matrix drew on college documents adapted for the district and should help newer athletic administrators apply consistent expectations.
The board approved a renewed athletic-trainer contract in partnership with Missouri Baptist/Sullivan Hospital; presenters said the arrangement provides trainer services at roughly half the typical cost, includes a payment contingency that the district will not pay until a trainer is secured, and sets a weekly schedule for coverage tied to practices and events.
Board members also approved renewal of county school-resource-officer (SRO) contracts with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office to keep three officers on campus; the monthly pay rate discussed in the meeting was $3,575 and the motion passed with five yes, one abstain and one absent as recorded.
Finally, the board scheduled the regular June meeting for Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 6 p.m. with a closed session to follow.
