Board members and administrators reviewed work on the district’s strategic plan and asked staff to turn draft strategies into one- to two‑page priorities with measurable KPIs.
Miss Washington and Dr. Moore outlined four focus areas and associated strategies (align budget decisions to student outcomes, right‑size operations to enrollment, strengthen facilities planning, recruit and retain high‑quality staff). Trustees discussed KPIs including percentage of budget aligned to strategic priorities, cost‑per‑student trends, facility work‑order completion rates, school‑level staff retention and vacancy rates, safety incident counts and mental‑health access metrics. Trustees asked administration to provide turnover data broken out by school and recommended creating a public-facing strategic-plan dashboard to track progress.
Administrators said committees and community engagement sessions informed the plan and scheduled a formal drafting session in June with an intention to present an updated strategic plan to the board and public in July.
