JCC approves Sempervirens medical staff reappointments in closed session

The Joint Conference Committee for Sempervirens unanimously approved the reappointment of the medical staff presented for reappointment during a closed session on April 23, 2026.

Committee records show the Behavioral Health Executive Committee reviewed and accepted the credentials for the medical staff and recommended that the Joint Conference Committee approve the requested privileges. The closed session was held under Government Code section 54957(b)(1), which governs discussion of certain personnel matters.

At the meeting, Paul Bugnacki moved that the medical staff presented for reappointment be approved; Supervisor Rex Bohn seconded the motion. The minutes record the motion carried with all members in favor and no votes in opposition or abstentions.

Director Emi Botzler-Rodgers opened the meeting and framed the session as routine oversight of Sempervirens behavioral health operations. The committee had no public comment during the meeting and noted the absence of Cyanne Brocious and Jessica Duke from the roll call.
