Board approves Unit 1 negotiated agreement, 7-0

The Wicomico County Board of Education approved the Unit 1 negotiated agreement as ratified by Unit 1 members by a recorded vote, 7–0.

Board Chair (speaker 1) asked for a motion to approve the Unit 1 negotiated agreement and called for a roll-call vote. Board members answered in the affirmative and the chair declared, “It’s approved.” The roll call included Mr. Palmer (aye), Ms. Hazel (aye), Mr. Plots (aye), Missus Beecham (aye), Mister Brown (aye), Dr. Ennis (aye) and the chair (aye).

The board took no further action on the item after the vote. No amendments or conditions were recorded during the public discussion portion of the agenda. The agreement was presented to the board as ratified by Unit 1 membership; the board’s approval completes the local ratification process for the upcoming school year.

The board returned to other work‑session business after recording the vote and did not schedule additional public deliberation on the agreement at this meeting.
