NMFA oversight committee adopts 2026 work plan, moves one meeting to Alamogordo

The New Mexico Finance Authority Oversight Committee voted by voice to adopt its proposed 2026 work plan and meeting schedule and approved a location change for one interim meeting.

Representative Patricia Roybal Caballero moved to adopt the work plan as presented and to revise the Hobbs meeting location to Alamogordo; Representative Kathleen Cates seconded. "All those in favor, say aye," Chair Senator Michael Padilla called; members responded "Aye" and the chair declared the motion carries.

The work plan lists required statutory reports to the oversight committee, proposed interim topics (including deeper review of the Water Trust Board, tribal water projects, a climate-resilience financing panel, and a public-banking discussion), and proposed meeting locations (Shiprock, Alamogordo in place of Hobbs, and Sunland Park).
