Board approves Rock the Barn temporary license for Chamber fundraiser at Cow Barn

Tracy Snyder, director of the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce, described logistics for the Chamber’s Rock the Barn fundraiser and told the board the event will be held at the Cow Barn in Ridgely on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 4 to 11 p.m.

Snyder said the event will feature three vans and several food trucks, a beer wagon, and ID bracelets at alcohol service points. Snyder named several TIP-certified servers who will staff beverage service and said the event will include a VIP mezzanine area with certified staff on duty. She described the event as generally adult focused but said children are not categorically excluded; children’s tickets will be offered and historically few children attend.

Commissioners asked whether there was a rain date; Snyder said the event is rain or shine, with vendors and some activities moving inside the barn if necessary. A motion to approve the temporary license was made and seconded and the board approved the application. Licensing staff will prepare the temporary license paperwork and notify the Chamber when it is ready.
