Board awards $213,858 contract to Main Stage for PAC lighting upgrades

The Onalaska School District Board of Education awarded a $213,858 contract to Main Stage to update lighting in the Onalaska High School Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Tyler described the PAC lighting project, noting the facility had not seen significant updates since 1988 and that existing fixtures were corroded, flickering and non-LED. He said two bids were received — from Main Stage and Gopher Stage Lighting — and that Main Stage was the lower, complete bid; district staff recommended Main Stage based on their ability to meet the project requirements. "Main Stage is the lower bid, and we are recommending Main Stage based on their abilities to meet what we need to be done," Tyler said.

Trustees moved and seconded the motion and the board conducted a roll-call vote. The clerk called members and recorded votes: Bridget (Yes), Mark (Yes), Brian (Yes), Tracy (Yes), Tisha (Yes), Ann (Yes), and Aaron (Yes). The chair announced the contract award to Main Stage in the amount of $213,858.

District staff thanked volunteer parent Patrick Strain for professional assistance during the bid review and said work will proceed following contract finalization.
