Commissioners declare truck surplus, authorize auction and appoint Stormy Richardson to APC board

Rush County commissioners declared a pickup truck surplus, discussed auction terms and authorized staff to prepare a purchase agreement, and appointed Stormy Richardson to the APC board.

The Chair described the vehicle as a Ram four-wheel-drive truck, model year 2014, with 168,038 miles, and directed staff to prepare a purchase agreement and collect a 10% deposit from a successful bidder. Commissioners discussed whether to set a bid floor and confirmed the 10% deposit requirement for auction winners.

Separately, the board moved, seconded and approved an appointment to fill an opening on the APC board, appointing Stormy Richardson; the motion carried by voice vote.

County staff said they would prepare the purchase agreement and proceed with auction steps. The board later returned to other agenda business after the announcements.
