During the May 26 meeting Council moved several routine but consequential items: approval of a parcel map (APN 001-011-44) splitting land adjacent to McDonald’s to enable two future development parcels; a zone map amendment consolidating APN 001-561-07 to M1 Industrial; and a boundary line adjustment for APNs 001-561-07 and 001-541-23 presented by Eric Anderson of Bighorn Consulting. Each item had a unanimous Planning Commission recommendation and unanimous council votes (motions recorded and seconded as reflected in the minutes).
Council also approved a professional services agreement with DOWL for GIS services not to exceed $15,000 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. Interim City Manager Jerry Bryant said the city relies on DOWL for GIS support and that the contract fits within expected rates. Councilman Nick Beaton moved the DOWL contract and Councilman Shane Martin seconded; Mayor John Garry announced unanimous approval.
These approvals were routine in form but remove procedural barriers to future development and secure mapping services the staff said are needed for planning and public-works work.
