The Germantown School District board accepted the resignation of Rockfield Elementary Principal Dana Croat, who notified the district last week that she will take an elementary principal position in the Grafton School District. Dr. Martin Castro said the resignation includes liquidated damages per the existing contract. The board voted to accept the resignation effective June 30, 2026, and to post and begin a summer search for the Rockfield principal position that will include staff, parent and community engagement.
After a closed‑session review of employment and compensation matters, the board approved market‑adjustment salary increases effective July 1, 2026, for several administrative positions (listed at the meeting) to close gaps identified in a recent compensation study. Board members said the district intentionally operates with a lean administrative structure compared with peers and that adjustments are intended to narrow but not eliminate comparators' pay gaps.
The board also approved per‑diem stipends ($143 per day worked) for the co‑interim superintendent roles — Dr. Martin Castro and Jake Miziaak — effective April 20, 2026 through the end of the 2025–26 fiscal year. Board members said the stipends recognize additional time required to perform interim superintendent duties in addition to regular roles.
The board voted unanimously on the personnel actions recorded after reconvening from closed session.
