Superintendent says district concluded talks with two largest employee groups; one contract ratified

The Cache County School District superintendent reported the district has concluded negotiations with its two largest employee groups, saying one has ratified a tentative agreement and the other is finishing final details before taking the agreement to its members for ratification.

The superintendent credited the district negotiation team by name, thanking Kirk McCrae, Tim Smith and Jared Black for their work in reaching the agreements. He did not specify the bargaining-unit names in the public report to the board.

The superintendent also reminded the board of the district’s upcoming high-school graduation schedule: Cash High on Tuesday, Sky View and Mountain Crest on Thursday, and Rich Line and Green Canyon on Friday.

No formal board vote on the contracts was recorded in the public portion of the meeting; the superintendent said one unit had already ratified and the other was preparing for member ratification but did not provide a timeline or the precise units involved.
