Council approves Project Flip 3.0 and appoints Ben Alonso as city attorney

Edinburg — After returning from executive session, the City Council approved Project Flip 3.0 and appointed Ben Alonso as the city attorney.

The city attorney reported to the council that on executive-session item E he recommended approval of Project Flip 3.0 as discussed in executive session; the council moved and adopted the recommendation.

Later in the meeting the mayor entertained a motion to appoint Ben Alonso as city attorney and to remove the interim status; the motion was moved and seconded and the council adopted the appointment. Ben Alonso thanked the council.
