The Council Rock School District board meeting on May 21 featured community recognitions and student reports.
Student advisory board representatives Arthur Kiss (Council Rock South) and Olivia Esposito (Council Rock North) delivered a joint report about senior activities and graduation logistics. They confirmed graduation dates for both high schools on June 16, shared senior event schedules and closed with a musical send-off for the board.
Superintendent Dr. Senko recognized the district’s role hosting the Special Olympics, noting Council Rock’s 20th year as host. The district reported 165 athletes participated countywide with 76 from Council Rock schools; staff and volunteer contributors were acknowledged and athletes were presented certificates and invited for a group photo.
Administration also honored 58 employees who are retiring this year, a group the district said represents more than 1,000 years of service and an average tenure exceeding 22 years. Board and audience members applauded the retirees and thanked them for their service.
The meeting included brief updates from the Bucks County Intermediate Unit and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, and a closing round of board comments that noted art shows and other end‑of‑year celebrations.
The recognitions drew applause from the audience and provided a transition to the meeting’s business items.
