Jacqueline Edmonson addressed the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners during public comment on May 21, urging the board to finalize a long-promised transfer of partial parcels to the Bond Hill Community Council so the neighborhood can install welcome signage.
Edmonson said she met with Mercy Health Place real-estate staff and Cincinnati community-development officials in March 2024 and was told the property owner was willing to donate surrounding partials. The community council voted to accept the parcels but Edmonson said legal work, surveys and transfers have stalled for roughly two years. "I am writing to respectfully request your assistance in bringing to resolution a long pending transfer of partial 13179 392 to Bond Hill Community Council," she said.
She asked the county to provide a clear timeline and an update to her office within a week; county officials replied they had just received the submission and would review it and provide direction. The board indicated staff (including the Prosecutor's Office and Administration) will follow up and return with an update.
Why it matters: Edmonson said the donated parcels were intended for welcome signage that would support community identity in Bond Hill, and she noted the community had paid for an attorney and completed necessary local approvals but still awaited final transfer steps.
What's next: Edmonson requested an update within one week to her office; Administration said staff would review the documents and provide next steps to the board.
