Takoma Park staff propose $50,000 audiovisual contract amendment for auditorium and control-room work

City staff presented a proposed amendment to the Human Circuit contract to continue improvements and upgrades to the community-auditorium and the city TV control room. Staff described this as the second of three available extension options; the first amendment occurred in 2024 and a second amendment was executed in May 2025 amid library-project delays.

The proposed amendment tonight would be for $50,000 in FY27 and the presenter said that amount has been budgeted for the upcoming fiscal year. The work described includes continuing necessary equipment and installation work identified by Human Circuit and the city TV team for the auditorium and control-room renovation.

No formal council vote occurred during the work session; staff indicated they would return with the contract amendment for approval consistent with the city’s procurement and budget process.
