Livingston public works says Well 8 online, Well 9 nearing service return

Public Works staff reported on May 19 that Well 8 is online and pumping water into Livingston's distribution system, and that rehabilitation work on Well 9 is nearly finished.

"Well 8 is in operation now and is pumping into the distribution system," Public Works staff said, noting the well’s substantial capacity and that operations should increase system reliability. Staff said Well 9 subsurface repairs have been completed and only a final testing and equipment return remain; once the contractor confirms test results the well is expected to go back into service by the end of the week.

Council members welcomed the update and suggested holding a ribbon‑cutting or public recognition once repairs are confirmed. Staff said they will provide testing data to council when available and will notify the public when Well 9 resumes full service.
