The Hamilton Central School District Board of Education on May 19 approved personnel and administrative items, including tenure appointments for Caitlyn Herzenorf and Jeremy West effective July 1, 2026, acceptance of a monetary donation and adoption of a resolution authorizing regional data-privacy agreements.
Board members moved and seconded approval of the regular meeting agenda and the minutes of April 21, then approved the consent agenda covering items 3.1 through 4.1. The Board voted by voice to grant tenure to Caitlyn Herzenorf in the speech and language disabilities tenure area and to appoint Jeremy West to tenure in the physical education tenure area, both effective July 1, 2026, following the successful completion of their probationary periods.
A board member offered public congratulations to the two appointees and said the district would present certificates and a small gift; the Board arranged to take a photograph for distribution. Jeremy West was not present at the meeting because he was at a track meet.
The Board also approved the addition of Donna Warren, Renee Mur, and Moren Shawl (names as spoken) to the substitute list for instructional and non-instructional positions starting in the 2026-27 school year, and approved administrator and confidential salaries and stipends for the 2026-27 school year, with any detailed discussion of compensation to occur in executive session.
The Board accepted a monetary donation from the First Baptist Church Deacons Fund and agreed to increase the district budget by the donation amount. It also moved to adopt a resolution authorizing ROC to enter into data-privacy agreements for the 2026-27 fiscal year "in compliance with ED law 2D and associated regulations," and approved the measure after clarifying a minor wording issue in the resolution text.
No roll-call vote totals were recorded in the public proceedings beyond voice approval; motions were recorded as moved and seconded and carried by the Board. The meeting adjourned at approximately 6:25 p.m.
