District staff presented an update on Teach Rialto and career‑technical education (CTE) initiatives and introduced representatives from Kaiser Permanente, which the presenters described as a three‑year partner supporting family academies, workforce pathways and student opportunities.
Joseph Williams, director of community partnerships, said the district has partnered with Kaiser Permanente over the last three years to expand family engagement, workforce pathways and student supports; he reported that more than 500 students participated in the Teach Rialto program and that 51 students completed a CTE sequence tied to internships and certifications.
A Kaiser representative said the health system’s funding supported family academy modules and other parent‑engagement work; the presentation included an announcement of several scholarship recipients from the Class of 2026 who would receive awards and photos with district leaders.
Board members and attendees praised the partnerships and recognized individual students for scholarships and achievement. Presenters stressed the connection between health‑system community investment and pathways for students into postsecondary education and careers.
No contract amounts or detailed fiscal breakdowns were provided during the public presentation; presenters said some funding is grant‑supported and that administrators would share more detailed program data with the board and community.
