Warren County commissioners approved multiple contracts, grant amendments and appointments in a regularly scheduled meeting after departmental reports and public announcements.
The commission voted to allow the school board to manage certain federal budget items under state oversight and approved a three-year technology subscription contract for the schools. Commissioners also approved leases related to the county's ECO Ride transportation facility and bus equipment, and accepted a 100% state rescue-squad grant for specialty clothing and equipment. Several budget amendments were passed to reallocate food service funds and to cover anticipated utility overages tied to the new health department facility.
Clerk-confirmed roll calls were used for each measure. The three-year technology subscription contract passed unanimously (recorded in the transcript as 21 to 0). The ECO Ride leases also passed unanimously (recorded as 21 to 0). Other items passed on roll call with all present voting in the affirmative; where the transcript recorded a numeric tally it is noted above.
The commission also handled nominations to the county equalization board and recorded appointments after floor nominations and roll-call votes. The commission introduced the incoming solid-waste director and scheduled his confirmation earlier in the agenda.
Commission business concluded with community announcements and special presentations.
