Council places Mackie Park report on file and approves city clerk job descriptions

Councilor Kazinskus told the council May 18 that the Architectural Access Board notified the city on May 13 that Mackie Park has been closed out and found in compliance. He credited President Tyrros and Director Stevens for the work to resolve issues and moved to place the report on file; the motion carried.

Kazinskus also said the city clerk search committee, which included Council Mack, President Tyrros and HR Director Amanda Morris, reviewed and edited job descriptions for the city clerk and assistant city clerk and recommended approval. The council approved both job descriptions by voice vote.

Kazinskus directed the public to pages 82 through 175 of the council packet for the Mackie Park information and thanked staff for cost-conscious resolution of the project.

Next steps: the report is on file and the search committee will proceed with the city clerk recruitment under the approved job descriptions.
