Warren Early College High School held its commencement for the Class of 2026, where Principal Shanae Judkins opened the ceremony and certified that 31 scholars had met state and local graduation requirements. The principal welcomed platform guests including Dr. Carol Montague Davis, superintendent of Warren County Schools, and other county and school officials.
Student speakers framed the event around gratitude and future readiness. Addison Ainsworth delivered a tribute to teachers and staff, thanking cafeteria workers, custodians, bus drivers and other support personnel for their role in students’ success. Araceli Recintez gave the academic address, noting the class collectively earned more than $7,000,000 in merit-based scholarships and that many graduates completed associate degrees while still in high school.
Leila Richardson introduced Crystal Smith, identified in the transcript as Warren County manager, who gave the keynote address. Smith urged graduates to be authentic, rely on their inner strengths, and value faith, education and community, and she engaged the audience in participation exercises. Jalen Branch presented a gift to Smith following her remarks.
Students also paid tribute to parents and guardians. Adrian Aguilar thanked families for their support through the students’ dual-enrollment experience. Stephanie Green delivered the farewell address, calling the ceremony a beginning rather than an ending.
Principal Judkins formally presented the graduating class for recognition and the superintendent accepted the recommendation to award high school diplomas and Vance-Granville Community College degrees. The ceremony closed with graduates instructed to turn their tassels.
