The Director presented bank statements and year-to-date profit-and-loss reports for March and April and said year-to-date revenue is about $1,300 higher than last year, with book-sale income through April about $800 higher than the previous year.
The Director reported receipt of a $10,000 invoice for HVAC upgrades and said most of that amount was spent on the work. Board members asked how the expense would be handled if the donation had not been available; the Director said she would request funds from the city if needed.

On a business item, the Director said staff purchased a Nintendo Switch using a $1,000 donation from the Community Foundation and proposed tournaments in June and July to promote the new equipment. The board voted to approve holding tournaments funded with that donation.
The Director also announced that Anne Temples intends to resign from the board and that she will submit a candidate's name to the mayor and liaison for appointment to restore the intended staggered term rotation required by state law.
The board set its July meeting for the third Tuesday (July 20 at 5:15 p.m.) as the annual meeting to select officers.
