The Vacaville City Council convened a special meeting May 21 at 5 p.m. and moved into closed session to confer with a real property negotiator, Chair Carley said.
"This item is a conference with a real property negotiator," Chair Carley said, and announced the council would go into closed session. She added, "there's nothing to report out." The council did not provide further details in the public portion of the meeting.
A staff member conducted roll call at the start of the session, calling the names of Council members Stockton, Ritchie, Chapman, Freneau and Wiley, along with Vice Chair Silva and Chair Carley; each responded that they were present. Chair Carley then noted that no members of the public appeared for the public comment period.
After the procedural announcements, the transcript records a brief set of conversational remarks by Chair Carley that were not tied to an agenda item: "And if you want to lift this world, and just leave my home alone in the dark, I remember we used to smile. But please don't go too far." Those remarks were not identified as part of the council's substantive discussion in the transcript.
The council moved into closed session for the stated purpose of conferring with a real property negotiator. No motions, votes, or other reportable actions were recorded in the public portion of the meeting, and the chair stated there was nothing to report out at adjournment of the public session.
