Board appoints district representative and alternate to regional planning council

Board members discussed options for staffing the seat and recommended naming a board member as a named alternate. Director Beard moved to appoint the new director of capital projects and facilities as the district's primary representative and to name a board-member alternate. The motion was seconded and the board voted verbally; the chair called for those in favor and members responded 'Aye,' indicating the appointment carried.

Board members noted the value of technical expertise on the council and asked staff to ensure continuity by naming a permanent alternate and sharing meeting materials with the board.
