Commissioners approve conditional use permit for second home in Transitional Agricultural district

A public hearing on May 18 considered Jeffrey and Amy Short’s application for a conditional use permit to allow construction of a second home at 5984 West State Farm Road in a TA‑1 Transitional Agricultural District. Planning Director Judy Clark read review comments and planning staff offered no objections. The public hearing closed at 9:38 A.M., and the board approved the permit on a unanimous roll-call vote (motion by Jerry Woodruff, seconded by Micaela Wuehler).

The board recorded the legal property description in the minutes and entered the approval by roll call with Commissioners Joe Hewgley, Kent Weems, Micaela Wuehler, Chris Bruns and Jerry Woodruff voting “aye.” No public comments were recorded on the application during the hearing.

The approval authorizes the Short family to construct the second home subject to any standard county conditions attached to conditional use permits as enforced by the Planning Department.
