At the May 21 Planning Commission meeting the Director summarized upcoming public hearings and community meetings.
The Board of Supervisors is set to hold a public hearing on June 2 in the County Administration Building regarding an application in District 3 by Rebecca and Christopher Miller (conditional use permit for a detached family housing unit at 1884 Broad Street Road). The Planning Commission agenda for June 18 will include three public hearings: a conditional use permit renewal for an unhosted short-term rental for Lavalief Farms LLC at 3940 Old Stage Road; a renewal and expansion of a biosolid storage conditional use permit by 4 L Corporation at 2801 Chapel Hill Road (expansion from 10,000 to 20,000 square feet); and a request from Virginia Sports Park and Training Center at Goochland to defer consideration to July 16.
The Director also listed four community meetings: a pre-application meeting by Tyler McCormick about increasing the maximum farm-stand size (site meeting May 26), an on-site community meeting for an R & R, LLC renewal/combination of conditional use permits for mining operations on Shannon Hill Road (June meeting at 7 p.m.), a rezoning/pre-application meeting for Scott and Valerie Turner (waiver of road standards at 4337 Tab Scott Pines Road on June 3), and a District 3 community meeting for 1137 LLC requesting to rezone land to industrial general for storage uses (meeting on June 11 at 6:30 p.m.). The Director invited the public to attend and participate in those meetings.
Members of the Commission asked procedural questions but no actions were taken on the items in the director's report.
