Council approves consent agenda, several board appointments and $13.97 million in bills

The Delaware County Council approved the consent agenda (items 7a–7bb excluding 7w) and later approved item 7w on a separate motion. Vice Chair Reuther moved approval of the minutes from May 6, 2026, and the motion carried.

The council approved the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce's nomination of Bridget Gillen as the public director to the Delaware County Conservation District Board for a term ending Dec. 31, 2027. The council also appointed Sharnae Washington to the personnel grievance/performance review board and moved to appoint Latonya W. Lee and Alyssa Gray and to reappoint David Cleary and Robert Richter to the Mental Health and Intellectual Development Disabilities Advisory Board for three‑year terms ending May 30, 2029. Solicitor Aubrey noted the county code calls for two‑year terms on the grievance board and the council agreed to revisit term language.

Comptroller staff reported this week's bills totaled $13,972,059.06, with $6,784,940 from the general fund; the council voted to approve payment of the current bills.

Several procedural amendments and clarifications were raised in the discussion (particularly around appointment terms and Sunshine Act notice) and the solicitor was authorized to file a court matter for consideration by the judges as described in the meeting record.
