Two members of the public addressed the committee during the public-comment period.
Roy Soto identified himself as a former state employee and strategic consultant and urged the committee to investigate "closed resource systems," which he described as closed-loop platforms used by hospitals and agencies to connect clients to services (food banks, MCOs, hospitals). He suggested the committee assess how these systems are being used and whether they are serving constituents effectively.
Francisco Vasquez Bauer, an account executive with BillFlow, described his company's product and said it was "specifically built for New Mexico" to help track legislation, integrate video of committee activity and produce summaries for agencies, lobbyists and other users. He offered to speak with interested legislators or staff about access and demonstrations.
The committee accepted the comments and noted interest in agency-facing tools and data flow as part of its broader interim review.
