An agency official announced that the police department is developing a five-year strategic plan and invited residents to provide input through an anonymous online survey and two in-person meetings.
"We want to hear from you," the agency official said, and added that "your feedback will play an important role in shaping our future." The department said the survey will focus on public safety, neighborhood concerns and how it can better serve residents.
The anonymous survey opens Feb. 25 and will remain available through March 27, 2026. A QR code linking to the survey will be printed on the back of utility bills mailed to residents in March to broaden access. For residents who prefer in-person discussion, the department will host two community meetings: Monday, March 2, at 6 p.m. at the Black Box Theater in the Claremont Arts and Recreation Center, and Monday, March 9, at 6 p.m. at the Claremont City Center.
The announcement framed the outreach as part of a planning process to guide the department’s priorities, services and community partnerships over the next five years. The agency encouraged residents to participate so the department can "continue building a safe, connected, and thriving community." The announcement did not specify which municipal jurisdiction the police department represents.
The survey and meetings are outreach steps; the agency did not provide a timeline for publication of the resulting plan or describe next procedural steps beyond collecting feedback.
