SIRPC reports OCRA grant aided 31 properties, 58 residents in Switzerland County

Patty Jackson of the Southern Indiana Regional Planning Commission told the Switzerland County Board of Commissioners on May 4 that the county's Office of Community and Rural Affairs grant assisted 31 properties and 58 residents.

Jackson said 26 of the 31 properties were classified as special-needs and 18 were recorded as low-income. She described the grant as "very successful" and said its outcomes should help the county in applying for future grants. Jackson also provided an update on an ongoing income survey related to grant eligibility and reporting.

The report was delivered during the second public hearing required for the OCRA grant. No formal board vote was recorded on the grant itself at this meeting. The presentation was noted by county officials and placed on the record as part of new-business discussion.
