The Aberdeen City Council approved one-day alcohol permits for upcoming downtown events, including a Wine Walk scheduled for Thursday, 5–8 p.m.
Brandon, a downtown event presenter, told the council the Wine Walk will feature 10 business stops offering 20 wines (10 white, 10 red), food pairings and in-store sales and promotions. He said the fabric bin will not be part of the route and that participating businesses are planning sales and displays. The council approved the event’s one-day retail on-sale wine license.
Separately, the council approved one-day on-sale beer/wine/cider permits for an event at Hough Construction’s new Enterprise Street location (June 11) and for an After Hours event at Brookshire Plaza (Aug. 6, 2026). All three event licenses were approved on motion without opposition recorded in the transcript.
The council also approved transfers of off-sale liquor and on/off-sale malt-beverage (farm-wine) licenses resulting from business sales: Airport Fuel LLC’s licenses to Holiday Station Stores LLC (Circle K), and Kessler’s Fuel’s licenses to Holiday Station Stores. Staff presented the transfers as part of routine business sales and the motions carried by roll call.
