Auctioneer Commission reports $15,403 surplus through March, sets 2027 meeting calendar

Executive Director Roxanna Gamusio told the Tennessee Auctioneer Commission on May 18 that through March 2026 the commission had a year-to-date surplus of $15,403 and total reserves of $544,114. She said the auctioneer education recovery reserve stands at $176,000, above the minimum required level of $150,000.

Roxanna said these figures were presented so members could track financial status and only if reserves declined significantly would the commission consider raising fees. "We have plenty of money on reserves to not worry about that," she said.

On scheduling, the commission approved its 2027 meeting dates—Feb. 22, May 17, Aug. 16 and Nov. 15—keeping the customary third-Monday cadence and 10:30 a.m. start time; members voted to reserve the room and post the schedule to the commission website.
