Commission moves June budget voting session to June 26, 2026; cancels June 22 work session

The Bradley County Finance Committee proposed and the commission approved a change to the FY 2026/27 budget calendar at the May 18 voting session. Commissioner Blake reported the committee voted to move the county’s June voting session to Friday, June 26, 2026 at noon, and to cancel the June 22 work session and the July 6 voting session. Commissioner Blake placed the motion and, after a second by Commissioner Goins, the full commission approved the calendar amendment by roll call, 12–0 with two absent.

The calendar change was presented as part of routine budget preparation; no additional budget details were discussed at the May 18 meeting. The commission also approved the meeting consent agenda that included other routine items by a separate unanimous roll-call vote.
