Orange City announced an America 250 Freedom and Fireworks Festival will be held Saturday, June 27, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Valentine Park, the city's weekly OC Minute said.
A city staff member said the event will include live music, food vendors, a watermelon-eating contest, bounce houses, games and an extended fireworks show. "Come celebrate America's 250th birthday with live music, food vendors, a watermelon eating contest, bounce houses, games, an extended fireworks show, and more," the staff member said.
The announcement framed the festival as a family-focused community celebration. The city encouraged residents to attend and said more details are available in the program caption and on the city's social channels.
The OC Minute closed by directing viewers to the city's Facebook and Instagram accounts and the OC Connect app for updates and event information.
