District says revenues are up and spending is on track

District finance staff told the board that as of April the district had collected 91.53% of its budget and spent 83.43% year‑to‑date, with revenues higher than at the same point last year. "We have collected 91.53 percent of our budget and spent 83.43%," the staff member said, and reported the district is running a net $1,327,000 actual budget at this point in the fiscal year.

The presentation noted capital projects—roof work and other previously approved projects—accounted for much of the month’s increased expenditures. Staff said year‑to‑date expenses were slightly higher than the previous year but that revenue gains meant the district remains on track.

Chair requested a motion to approve the general journal. A motion was made, seconded, and the board approved the journal by voice vote.

The board asked questions; the staff member responded that some month‑end spending rises as purchases are made to prepare for the next school year. No formal budget amendments were adopted at the meeting.
