Board of Health approves amended minutes, signs off on fair vendor permits

The Town of Hubbardston Board of Health approved its April 28 minutes with an amendment changing the meeting‑date reference from May 5 to May 12; the motion was seconded and carried with Judy O'Donnell recorded as abstaining.

After approving minutes, members moved into permit reviews for the town fair scheduled June 6 (rain date June 7). Board members discussed multiple temporary and mobile food permits, including a mobile vendor that applied for an annual mobile permit rather than a single‑day fair permit. Members said a vendor may have inspection or licensing from its home jurisdiction that can substitute for a town inspection only if the vendor provides the required documentation and water‑testing records. Town staff reported that the supplying town had not yet provided water‑testing paperwork, so any inspection fee waivers will not be granted without that documentation.

The board confirmed the fair vendor list includes Guacamole Gourmet, Lucas Lemonade and Sweet Nala’s Bakery, and emphasized that town staff (Kathy and other inspectors) will check setup and compliance during the event. Members also discussed signature procedures and making sure inspection copies and approvals are attached to permit files.

The meeting closed routine permit business and moved on to other agenda items.
