The Minnesota House on the floor adopted an amendment to and then passed House File 719, a capital investment (bonding) bill. Representative Lee F, who introduced the A4 amendment, said the change corrected a project scope that had been drafted incorrectly and asked members to support the fix. "We had the project scope wrong, and so we just fixed it," Lee F said.
Representative Franson urged members to back the amendment, calling it a "good bill." After the amendment was adopted, the clerk read the bill for third reading as amended and the chamber proceeded to a roll call. The clerk announced 122 ayes and 11 nays; the clerk then stated that the bill "is passed as amended and its title is agreed to." The House then proceeded to routine noncontroversial motions without objection.
No further amendments or substantive debate on the bill were recorded on the floor before passage. The chamber moved on to other business and later adjourned; the clerk confirmed the official vote totals on the record.
