Board approves board secretary's agenda and moves ahead with bid awards

At a May 23 special meeting, the Board of Education approved the board secretary's agenda for the 2023–2024 school year, with the agenda including award of bid(s) that the board said it would consider in executive session.

The clerk requested a motion to approve the agenda and the awards. A motion and second were recorded and the board carried the motion by roll‑call vote. The transcript records affirmative votes for Capone, Howe, Kidney, Palazzo, Nardini and Egan.

Before the vote, the board had announced a planned closed session to consider awards of bids; the public presentation on the Intermediate South project then proceeded in the public portion of the meeting. Meeting minutes and finalized contract documents will indicate which bids were awarded and the contract amounts discussed in closed session.

The meeting concluded after a brief public‑comment check, during which no guests spoke, and a motion to adjourn was approved.
