At its Dec. 16 meeting, the Redwood County Board approved a series of Road & Bridge actions including final payments on contracts, equipment purchases and surplus property declarations.
The board approved final payment for CSAH 7 emergency culvert replacement to Midwest Contracting in the amount of $23,750 and approved a final pay request to KAMCO for Contract 25‑2 in the amount of $11,234.52. It also approved final payment to Midwest Contracting LLC for Contract 24‑8 in the amount of $742,559.01. The board authorized purchase of three 1,000‑gallon dual‑wall diesel tanks for Lucan, Walnut Grove and Clements from Meadowland Farmers Coop for $17,025, and approved a quote for a salt bunker for the Walnut Grove outshop to Al’s Concrete Products for $35,700.
Commissioners declared multiple unit numbers and related equipment surplus and authorized disposal by sale. The board approved a Professional Engineering Services Agreement with Bolton & Menk for CSAH 115 sidewalk and curb reconstruction in Sanborn, pending County Attorney approval.
All road and bridge items were approved by unanimous votes recorded in the minutes; several procurements are contingent on contract or attorney review as noted.
