The Westmont Village Board approved its consent agenda on May 14, which included multiple routine and budgetary items as well as several proclamations.
Village Manager Gunther read the consent agenda, which included approval of the April 30 minutes and release of listed executive session minutes; Finance Ordinance No. 10 totaling $2,993,796.50; a purchase order to the West Central Municipal Conference for spring tree plantings (approximately $89,397.55); and six hotel‑motel grants to the Westmont Park District totaling $15,975 for events including the American Legion Memorial Day parade, Fourth of July celebration and concerts in the park.
The board also approved proclamations declaring May 17–23 as EMS Week and National Public Works Week, and recognized May as Motorcycle Awareness Month in a proclamation presented by Mayor Steve T. Nero. A representative from Abate of Illinois, identified as Tom, thanked the board for the proclamation and noted the organization’s outreach to driver education programs.
Trustee Little moved approval of the consent agenda and Trustee Scales seconded; a recorded roll call showed all trustees voting yes and the consent agenda passed. The items will be implemented by the respective departments and grantees.
