DRB approves Mayfair at Hannesbridge home elevations and materials with small-window condition

The DRB approved exterior elevations, material callouts and a set of color schemes for the Mayfair at Hannesbridge single-family phase, with a narrowly tailored condition to improve a visible side elevation.

Casey Hill (KO Land Group) and Amanda Blue (Main Street Designs) presented the lot plan, elevations and eight color/material schemes. The package showed multiple elevations, strategic brick wraps, transitions to siding, and samples for brick, metal standing-seam and architectural-shingle roofs. Amanda Blue said the presentation focused on the street-facing elevations and material callouts, and that elevations were rendered using specified Sherwin-Williams and masonry samples to make material transitions clear.

Board members praised the variety of facades and the approach to wrap primary materials around corner conditions to prevent plain blank walls visible from public streets. The board requested a small but explicit change for the opposing side elevations of lots 5 and 6: enlarge the existing small second-floor window and add an identical window opposite it toward the corner to better proportion the façade. The applicant accepted the change.

Mr. Swing moved to approve the elevations and materials as presented with the condition described; Mr. Owens seconded. The motion passed 4–0 (two board members had recused themselves for this item).

Next steps: applicant to provide updated elevations with enlarged and paired second-floor windows for lots 5 and 6; staff to verify revised drawings prior to permit issuance.
