At its May 14 meeting the Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Commission adopted its April 9 minutes and approved a slate of routine subdivision and rezoning items.
Approved subdivision cases included S 250049 (Molina Estates, two lots at McIntyre Road), S 260014 (Hughes addition, five lots with stipulation that Transportation verify site distance for Lot 4), S 260017 (Hughley survey, five lots), S 260020 (Martin resurvey, two lots), S 260021 (Thornton's addition, two lots), S 260022 (Mount Olive Fire & Rescue / Mount Olive Cemetery, two lots), S 260023 (J & H addition, two lots), and S 260025 (Brown's resurvey, two lots). The commission generally approved these cases by motion and voice vote.
For rezoning, Z 260011 (removal of split zoning to A‑1 to allow a mobile home, 2903 Cherry Avenue) was approved with a stipulation limiting placement outside the 100‑year floodplain; Z 260012 (change to I‑1 light industrial to bring an existing warehouse and outdoor storage into compliance at 1501 Meadowcroft Road) was also approved.
Vote details: Most routine items passed by voice vote; where roll call occurred for a case it was recorded in the meeting minutes. The commission closed the meeting after approving amendments to Articles 4 and 6 of the subdivision regulations.
Ending: Staff will process plats for recording and forward rezoning recommendations to the County Commission where required.
