Clackamas County asks public to weigh in on 20-year transportation plan

Clackamas County Transportation Services is asking residents to help prioritize projects in a draft Transportation System Plan (TSP) that covers areas outside incorporated cities.

A presenter for the county said the TSP update will identify projects for the next 20 years and that public input will shape decisions about roads, sidewalks, bike facilities and bridges. The county has been meeting with community members for several months to gather needs and problems that informed the draft project list.

County staff are inviting people to five in-person workshops to discuss priorities and speak with staff: June 10 at Riverside High School in Tualatin; June 11 at Concord Community Center in Milwaukie; June 18 at Mount Hood Oregon Resort in Welches; June 23 at the Transportation Services Building in Oregon City; and June 24 at the Happy Valley Library. A virtual open house runs June 1–July 13 for those who cannot attend in person; materials and a feedback form are posted at clackamas.us/transportation/tspupdate.

The presenter framed the outreach as a chance for residents to indicate which projects the county should build first and to explain why those projects matter to them. The announcement did not specify next-step dates for formal adoption or a timeline for how feedback will be incorporated into the final plan.
