Commission approves low bid to repair memorial building masonry; Keystone Waterproofing selected pending final review

During the May 13 meeting commissioners considered bids to repair masonry and cornice elements at the memorial building. Two bids were presented: Keystone Waterproofing (low bid, $275,000) and Danill Construction ($426,339). A motion to approve Keystone's bid, subject to final review and 'passing muster,' was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote.

Commissioners discussed project scope as a phase two of previously identified repairs and confirmed the work will address failing masonry, cornice and other exterior elements. No contract signature was recorded during the meeting; the motion authorized staff to proceed with final contract review and execution.

Commissioners also noted earlier consultant work and grant assistance for related historic‑preservation efforts elsewhere in the agenda.
