Clawson council adopts anti-displacement policy and raises micro-purchase threshold to meet grant rules

Council then debated procurement thresholds for micro and small purchases. Committee member S1 proposed a $1,000 micro-purchase threshold for the town, but other members noted recent purchases—such as a lawnmower—suggested a higher threshold would be more practical. After discussion, the council approved changing micro purchases to $2,500 and leaving the small-purchase bracket up to $50,000.

Committee member S4 summarized the change: "There's a motion that we approve our procurement policy with the changes of micro purchases being up to 2,500 and small purchases 25 0 1 to 50,000 per small." The council accepted the changes and agreed the administrative document can be amended as needed.
