Online commenter urges Hunt County to stop Greenville data center over contamination concerns

At the Hunt County Commissioners Court meeting, an online commenter identified in the record as "b Wright" urged commissioners to stop construction of a proposed data center in Greenville, saying, "Please stop the data center construction in Greenville, Texas, Hunt County. Where are the regulations? There are none. The water's going to leach forever chemicals into all of the water supply." County Judge Stovall opened public testimony and reminded speakers of the court's three-minute limit and that the commissioner's court cannot take action on items not on the agenda under the Texas Open Meetings Act. Buddy Oxford of Greenville also spoke during public testimony to thank the judge and commissioners for attending an officer memorial across the street, saying the appearance "meant a lot to us."
